  • 4 pieces Buns (brioche or potato recommended) Toast lightly for added structure.
  • 1 cup Crispy leeks Thinly fried for a crunchy contrast.
  • 1 cup Lettuce For freshness in the burger.
  • 1 cup Tomato slices Use for acidity.
  • 1 slice Cheese (optional) Add for extra richness.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the skillet or griddle over high heat until it shimmers and shows tiny wisps of smoke.
  2. Season the Wagyu beef patties lightly with salt and black pepper.
Cooking
  1. Place the patties on the hot skillet and smash them down with a spatula.
  2. Cook for 2-3 minutes until a crust forms, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  3. Drizzle truffle oil or glaze on top of the patties as they finish cooking.
  4. Toast the buns on the skillet until golden.
Assembly
  1. Assemble the burgers with the patty on the bottom bun, topped with crispy leeks, lettuce, tomato, and cheese.
  2. Finish with the top bun and serve immediately.

Notes

Serve immediately for the best texture; smash burgers are best eaten hot.
