  • 1 cup strawberries, fresh or frozen Choose ripe, aromatic strawberries if fresh; pick unsweetened packs if frozen.
  • 1 medium banana Use a slightly ripe banana for the best flavor.
  • 1 scoop protein powder, vanilla or unflavored Choose high-quality whey or plant-based powders.
  • 1 cup almond milk Use any milk of choice, or substitute for nut-free alternatives.
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup Optional for added sweetness.
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt Optional for creaminess.
  • to taste Ice cubes Optional, for thickness.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Place the strawberries and banana into the blender, then pour in the almond milk.
  2. Spoon in the protein powder and add honey or maple syrup if desired.
  3. Scoop in Greek yogurt if using.
  4. Blend on high until completely smooth and homogenous.
  5. If desired, add a few ice cubes and pulse until the texture thickens. Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately.

Notes

This smoothie can be made ahead of time and stored in an airtight container. For best results, keep liquids and solids separate until ready to blend.
