  • 1 pound sausage (Italian or any preferred type) Choose sausages with good fat content for caramelization.
  • 8 ounces pasta (e.g., penne or fusilli) Cook to al dente.
Sauce Components
  • 1/4 cup honey Use a mild, runny honey for best results.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic gives the best flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce Low-sodium soy sauce is recommended.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For cooking the sausage.
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes Optional, for heat.
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish Chopped.

Method
 

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Browning the Sausage
  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sausage and brown evenly, breaking into bite-sized pieces if needed. Cook for about 5–7 minutes until the meat is cooked through and caramelized.
Adding Garlic
  1. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about one minute until fragrant, stirring constantly to avoid burning.
Making the Sauce
  1. Stir in honey, soy sauce, and chili flakes, mixing well. Continue cooking for 2–3 minutes until the mixture bubbles and thickens into a glaze.
Tossing the Pasta
  1. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss thoroughly so every piece is coated in the sticky sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
Serving
  1. Remove from heat, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and serve warm.

Notes

Use medium heat to brown sausage; lean sausages can dry out faster. If the sauce is too thin, simmer uncovered until it thickens.
