Preparation
- Scoop 2 cups of vanilla ice cream into a blender, then pour in ¾ cup of whole milk.
- Secure the lid and blend on medium-high until the mixture is smooth and uniform.
- Measure ½ teaspoon of mint extract and add it to the blended base, along with 4 drops of green food coloring.
- Blend again briefly on low to incorporate the mint and color.
- Taste and adjust the mint extract and food coloring as needed.
- Divide the shake between two glasses, top with whipped cream, and add a maraschino cherry.
Notes
Chill glasses in the freezer to keep the shake colder longer. For a thicker shake, reduce milk to ½ cup or add a frozen banana. Store in the fridge for up to 24 hours or freeze for a week.
