Ingredients

Base Ingredients
  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream Use high-quality, full-fat for best texture.
  • 3/4 cup whole milk Using low-fat will yield a thinner shake.
  • 10 drops green food coloring Gel or liquid coloring is fine; for natural option, use baby spinach.
  • 1/4 teaspoon mint extract Use peppermint for a brisk flavor and spearmint for a sweeter taste.
Toppings
  • to taste whipped cream For serving.
  • to taste sprinkles For serving.
  • to taste maraschino cherries For serving.

Method

Preparation
  1. Scoop 2 cups of vanilla ice cream into your blender pitcher.
  2. Pour in 3/4 cup whole milk, add 10 drops of green food coloring, and measure 1/4 teaspoon mint extract over the top. Secure the lid.
Blending
  1. Start the blender on a low setting, then ramp up to medium-high for 15–30 seconds. Use short pulses if your blender struggles, and scrape down the sides if needed.
  2. Aim for a thick, smooth consistency with no visible ice crystals.
Serving
  1. Pour the blended shake evenly into two chilled glasses.
  2. Top each with a generous swirl of whipped cream, a scatter of sprinkles, and finish with a maraschino cherry on top.
  3. Serve immediately with a wide straw and a long spoon.

Notes

Chill glasses in the freezer for 10 minutes to keep the shake colder longer. Adjust the thickness by adding more ice cream or milk as needed. Use fresh mint for a stronger flavor if desired.
