Ingredients

For the Skewers
  • 1 pint Strawberries Choose bright red, plump strawberries with fresh green caps.
  • 2 medium Oranges Segmented and pith removed.
  • 1 cup Pineapple, cut into bite-sized chunks Use ripe pineapple that yields slightly when pressed.
  • 1 cup Green grapes Firm and without blemishes.
  • 1 cup Blueberries Pick firm berries with a dusty bloom.
  • 1 cup Purple grapes Ensure they are firm and fresh.
  • 1 cup Vanilla yogurt Choose a thick Greek-style yogurt for dipping.

Method

Preparation
  1. Wash all fruit thoroughly under cold running water and pat each piece dry with paper towels.
  2. Hull the strawberries, segment the oranges, and slice the pineapple into bite-sized chunks.
Assembly
  1. Lay out your prepared fruit in color order on a tray: strawberries, oranges, pineapple, green grapes, blueberries, and purple grapes.
  2. Slide fruit onto wooden or bamboo skewers, alternating pieces to balance size and weight.
  3. Aim for 5–7 pieces per skewer to make them easy to hold.
Serving
  1. Spoon vanilla yogurt into a small serving bowl and place it in the center of a platter.
  2. Arrange the skewers around the bowl and serve immediately or chill briefly for 10–15 minutes.

Notes

Keep fruit cold before serving; use blunt-tipped skewers for safety with children.
