Preparation
- Melt the candy melts in separate, microwave-safe containers, heating one color at a time in 20-30 second increments. Stir well between heats until melted.
- Transfer the melted chocolate into tall, narrow glasses for dipping.
Dipping
- Dip each pretzel rod about 3/4 of the way, shaking off any excess candy back into the glass.
- Arrange the dipped pretzels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Decorating
- For flag-themed pretzels, dip the rods in the white candy melts first. Once it sets, dip just the tip in the blue candy melts.
- Transfer the remaining melted candy melts to piping bags or other tools for drizzling stripes over the dipped pretzel rods.
- Let the melted candy set before serving the pretzels either arranged on a platter or standing upright in mason jars or cups.
Notes
Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. You can freeze them wrapped individually to prevent sticking.
