Ingredients

Core Ingredients
  • 2 oz guava purée Choose purée with low added sugar; fresh guava should be strained for smooth texture.
  • 1 oz coconut cream Use canned coconut cream for a thicker consistency.
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice Squeeze fresh limes; substitute lemon if necessary.
  • 2 oz tequila Choose blanco for a clean drink or reposado for warmer notes.
  • to taste Ice Use large clear ice for slower dilution.
  • for garnish Lime wedges For serving.
  • to taste Salt For rimming the glass (optional).

Method

Preparation
  1. Decide if you want a salted rim. Run a lime wedge around the lip of a rocks glass and gently dip the rim into coarse salt.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, add guava purée, coconut cream, lime juice, and tequila. Ensure the coconut cream is well measured.
  3. Fill the shaker halfway with ice, close it securely, and shake hard for 12-15 seconds.
  4. Fill the serving glass with fresh ice and strain the shaken mix over it using a fine strainer.
  5. Garnish with a lime wedge on the rim and serve immediately.

Notes

Chill ingredients before mixing for optimal flavor. Shake vigorously to prevent separation of coconut cream. Store leftovers in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
