  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar Adjust to your sweet preference.
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 cups whole milk Use fresh milk for better flavor.
  • 1 ounce dark chocolate, roughly chopped Choose chocolate with 60–70% cocoa.
  • 2 ounces Baileys Irish Cream For the signature flavor.
  • 2 ounces Jameson Irish Whiskey Adds warmth and spice.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Warm the milk gently in a medium saucepan over medium heat until it is warm and steamy.
  2. Add the cocoa powder, chopped dark chocolate, granulated sugar, and a pinch of salt into the warm milk. Whisk immediately to combine.
  3. Whisk vigorously until the ingredients dissolve and the chocolate is fully melted into a smooth mixture.
  4. Remove from heat and carefully add Baileys Irish Cream and Jameson Irish Whiskey. Stir well.
  5. Pour the hot chocolate into serving mugs and top with whipped cream and sprinkles if desired.

Notes

Store leftover hot chocolate in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 48 hours. Reheat gently on the stovetop.
