  • 1 ripe avocado 1 ripe avocado Choose avocados that yield slightly to gentle pressure but aren’t mushy.
  • 1 banana 1 banana Use a spotty banana for optimal sweetness.
  • 1 cup 1 cup almond milk (or milk of choice) Use unsweetened almond milk to control sugar.
  • 1 scoop 1 scoop vanilla protein powder Pick a powder you enjoy drinking alone.
  • 1 tablespoon 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional) Taste before adding, many protein powders are already sweetened.
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Ice cubes (optional) Add for a colder, thicker consistency.

Preparation
  1. Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a blender.
  2. Add the banana, almond milk, vanilla protein powder, honey or maple syrup (if using), and vanilla extract.
  3. Blend until smooth, adding ice cubes for a colder, thicker consistency if desired.
  4. Pour into a glass and enjoy!

Notes

Storage: Store in an airtight jar or bottle in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Freeze leftovers in an airtight, freezer-safe container or ice cube trays for up to 1 month.
