Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
- Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place on a lined baking sheet.
- Press down on each dough ball and add red and blue sprinkles on top.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
- Cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Decorate with royal icing if desired.
